A History Lesson Built our Business
As a teenage boy working on local farms, I got ahold of my great grandfather's farming diary. It documented a time when neighbor farmers worked to support each other, from plowing, planting, harvesting, and putting up food for the winter. It spoke about efforts to celebrate together in good times, and persevere by leaning on one another in hard times. Farming was a community contribution to everyone's success and survival.
Today, Finger Lakes Beekeeping, a 3rd generation beekeeping and farm family, is steeped in 5 generations of life in the Pristine Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Our farming clients are our neighbors, and quickly become part of our family and FLXBeekeeping community. We also provide you the opportunity to purchase our top quality local honey at wholesale pricing, featuring your label, to sell at your orchard or farm market for extra profits.
Our hives are palletized and rented in groups of 4 hives per pallet.
2025 Hive Rental Pricing:
1-4 pallet rental @ $100/hive
5-10 pallet rental @ $90/hive
10+ pallet rental @ $85/hive
Hives are 1 3/4 configuration with a minimum of 7 frames of brood at delivery and growing.
You pay a small reservation fee ($100), then contact us 10 days in advance of your bloom/delivery date. Our team will deliver you strong hives, provide protective wear for your inspection/approval, and place hives according to your orchardists' direction.
